Glass Bulb Storage

Easy one, as you are putting away your Christmas Tree glass ball decorations try this. Instead of purchasing a glass bulb container, try using the plastic container you get with your apples at Costco. They are resealable and work great! Now, if someone would stop by and take down my outside lights, I'd be so happy. :)

Keeping, storing recipe's coupons and menu's

About 15 years ago, I decided that I could save money grocery shopping by having menu's and shopping lists that I stuck to . Today, I still do fill out a menu to go shopping, but sometimes I forget an ingredient or forget to use my coupons. Food is so expensive, so I don't want to do that.

The idea is, it has the recipe's and you store under your favorites or add to your account, which is totally free. then when you click on those recipe's that you are using for that week, it will generate the grocery list in the order of departments and also the coupons for you.

HOW EASY IS THAT?

Ummmm Yuck Pet Urine..

What You Will Need

To remove the dog urine odor, you will need the following:

• Paper towels
• Hand towel or cloth
• Scrub brush
• Vacuum
• Hair dryer or fan (optional)
• Baking soda
• 1 teaspoon dish detergent mixed with 3.4 cup 3% hydrogen peroxide
• Cold water
• A commercial dog odor and stain remover or
• Distilled white vinegar and
• Warm water

1- Catch the Dog Urine Stain Early

The sooner you can begin to remove the stain, the more likely you are to be able to eliminate odors effectively. Immediately blot–not rub–the stain with paper towels. Pour cold water on it to flush the stain and blot again. If the stain is already dry when you find it, begin with the cold water.

2- Use Cleanser

Next, you can begin to eliminate the dog urine odor by saturating a hand towel with a commercial cleanser or your vinegar and warm water solution. You can use this solution on carpets, upholstery and most hard surfaces, but do not use on stone or marble surfaces. If unsure, test the solution on a small patch first to see if it will stain. Wipe the stain with the soaked cloth in circular motions. Let air dry or dry with a hair dryer or fan.

3- Sprinkle Baking Soda

Baking soda is one of the best tools available to eliminate odors. Cover the stain entirely with baking soda. Pour the hydrogen peroxide and dish detergent solution over the baking soda. Although it should be okay, test the peroxide solution on a tiny area to check if it will stain. Use a scrub brush to work the mixture into the dog pee stain. Allow the mixture to soak in for a few minutes.

4- Vacuum

Vacuum the baking soda mixture away. This should have worked to get rid of the dog urine odor. However, you can repeat Steps 3-4 if needed.

Laundry Gone Wrong

Recently my daughter who is 14 was doing her own laundry. She was washing a new sweatshirt for the first time and it was a light pink color. She put it in the "light" colored clothes and started the wash. The color bled into the whites. Here is a great solution to this problem.

Use Oxiclean and dissolve into some HOT water in the sink, or a laundry bucket. Let soak overnight.

Rinse, repeat with a paste of OXI and hot water if it is not already gone. Let it sit and harden for the day. rinse, that should do the job.
